What happened last night in the pub? Tom really can’t remember anything. Not one thing. Not even Polly’s dress. But Holly can. Dick thinks he knows who did what and he approves although he does counsel caution. Harry thinks he knows, too and, although he doesn’t blame Tom – not entirely – he does feel desperately let down. Everything could probably be straightened out if only telephones would stop ringing at the wrong moment. In the end, it boils down to whether or not Tom remembers what he asked Holly, and – very importantly – what her answer was …
