An apparently chance encounter between the Woman and the Man in the 'Mind, Body, Spirit' section of a bookshop leads them down some distinctly odd paths to some frankly puzzling places. An absurdist drama or an exercise in role-play? Impossible to say with any certainty!
MAN: An Englishman visiting the Khedive's palace in Egypt was struck by the legends written on the walls and asked where they were from. The Khedive replied: They are quotations from Smeelis' book 'Self-Help'. You must know Smeelis. His texts are betters than those from the Koran!
First performed at North London Actors on 12th December 2012.
